I could not believe that my cam captured this photo, it’s so cool. I mean, I really was studying, and I actually look like I’m studying. Such a great concept.

Anyways, I feel like in the last few hours I have been really bored. I went to the library for 3 hours and worked on a 5-page-single-spaced paper for my youth culture class. It was alright. I like that class a lot, it’s just an awesome class. But getting back.. I went to the Antelope Valley today and saw a bunch of my friends that I hadn’t seen in a while. It was a ton of fun. Bethany came with me, and she said she had a good time too. I think I want to change the subject now..

So, right now I have my laptop on the kitchen table. I just ate some food from Buca di Beppo’s. One of my roommates works there and he brought home some amazing food. It was great. I have a 750 ml bottle of Perrier that I am chugging down next to me, my cell phone, and my Gameboy Advance… I’m bored.. really bored. My roommates are playing a basketball game on our PS2, and I just sit here.. I tried playing some video games, but I just ended up dropping the controller and Tony Hawk kept skating around with no purpose.. it’s hard to explain.. haha. anyways.. that’s life.

I’m flying to Seattle on Friday to meet Bethany’s family. It’s going to be a lot of fun. I’m really looking forward to it. I talked to her lil’ bro and sis on the internet tonight. They are cool kids.. but that’s all I guess.. I mean, I really don’t feel like getting off, but I know that if I continue to sit in one place I might get really really really really bored.. and that won’t be good.. ok.. I’m lost. bye.

Hi. Check this out. Yesterday (Sunday) I had just laid down to take a nap during the afternoon, and then I heard “.. Shay are you seeing this?!!…” from my living room. So I ran to the window and I looked out, and the apartment building across from ours was on fire! oh man, it was crazy cool. We saw flames coming out of one of the windows, and we had the best seats in the house! I mean, don’t get me wrong; it stinks that people’s apartments were on fire, but it wasn’t the biggest fire, it was just so darn close that it was cool. But, that’s all I have to say about that. Oh WAIT!.. one more thing about that.. Shaycam was there before anyone else was. and I had a live feed to the internet even before the news people could show up to cover it, so, just thought I would clear that up.

Other things:
Friday night we had a super rockin’ party at my apartment complex. It was a cocktail party (but there was no alcohol thank you very much! :). And everyone got dressed up, and I wore my tie all loose and Bethany (my g/f) was wearing this cool dress, and everyone was “hobb-nobbing” and it was tons of fun! Later (after the party) everyone watched Back to the Future in our courtyard area on a projection screen. It was way cool. I actually didn’t stay for the movie, so we went out and had coffee and stuff.. so anyways.. that was way cool.

ok.. today I played special music in chapel with my friend Tristan, we had a good time and it was fun. Also! My roommate preached! It was so cool! I just wanted to give everyone the updates. So anyways, I’m outta here. Keep lovin’ life, and tell Jesus you love him! Ok bye.

So, I’m back from New York now. How do you feel about it? I felt darn good about it. Man we did a lot of stuff! We worked at camp for 3 days, we worked at a Christian elementary/middle school, we went down on the streets of Harlem and prayed with people, and we flat out had a good stinkin’ time! I wish I could go in to complete detail, but maybe when we start getting some more pictures in I could add a section to this site detailing my trip. But anyways.. let me tell you what’s going on right now..

Well.. first things first. Everyone at school is talking about what they are going to do for the summer. I’m sure everyone has thought about this that is in college. I just wanted to let everyone know what I am doing. The day before I left for NY, I got a phone call from this guy Jay that is one of the camp directors for Island Lake Camp in Washington. He told me that he was holding a spot open for me and that he wanted me to fill it. He said that he knew that I was in to music and music ministry so he wanted me to lead worship! I was so pumped! So he had an interview with me on the phone and I got the job! I feel really good about it. So that’s what I’m going to be doing..

So what about right now?.. at the moment I’m sitting next to my she Bethany. She’s working on her Christian Theology homework, and I’m just chillin’. I got a voice mail on my cell phone from my dad. He said he’s having some troubles with my financial situation at school, I keep praying that God will provide so I can continue to come here. Finances are an ongoing issue.. blah, I don’t like it, but it has to be done.

So?.. if you have a second, pray that God will continue to provide for me and that I will be able to keep going to Masters. Thanks you guys, and if you have another second.. shoot me an email or something, to say hi, or tell me how I can pray for you!

Alright, so here’s what happened to me the last 2 weeks:

On valentines day I asked this girl to go to dinner with, and by God’s grace she said yes. Interesting, I know. So, we went out and we really enjoyed ourselves. That was a Friday night. Sunday I found myself taking this girl to church with me cause she needed a ride. And I just happen to have my Jetta! (hehe) so I took her. This girl is cool, really cool..

hhhmmm.. so then, uh?.. I started hanging out with this girl a lot more in the past 2 weeks, and I realized that she’s amazing. Some might say that this thing kind of moved fast, but I would have to disagree, I think it moved at the perfect speed. At the speed at which God wanted. But you know what was cool?.. I was talking to my friend Tristan and we were talking about her and I said something about her being “My She”… well that plays in to this a little bit. Yesterday (3-1-03).. I asked this girl if she wanted to go to Jamba Juice and get some Smoothies, what she didn’t know was that I was going to the flower shop to get some daisies and then take her to the lake to ask her to be “my she.” Well, to make a long story short, I took her to Castaic lake, and then asked her to be my she, of which she answered “…I want to be your she..”. Of course I was the most happy person ever!!!!!! I felt good about it… really good. So, now I have this girl in my life.. and she’s rockin’! 🙂 So you can see her to your right. >>>> she’s there!! ok.. uh?. HI BETHANY’S PARENTS!! and lil’ bro and lil’ sis! heheheehe.. ok bye for reals.

So, this week I got sick. Yeah, it was dumb. I couldn’t freakin’ get better, so I had to drive myself like 40 minutes away and go to the doctors. Then I had to wait and the drug store for 30 minutes to get the drugs I needed. oh man, not good. But this medicine gives me the worst stomach ache, I just can’t stand it, but enough about that. And yes, that says, “Sherman Jr.” on the picture. Just to let you know.

Soo.. Valentines Day this week? Did anyone have any plans? Cause I sure did. I had a hot date. It’s true, just ask me, I’ll tell you about it. I took this really cool girl named Bethany out to dinner and then we went and hung out in Santa Monica for awhile! It was a ton of fun! But seriously, get this! She full on made me a CD! It’s got some rockin’ tracks on it! Geeze! It’s great. Everything from Elton John to Foo Fighters! Oh man, you kids would love it. But, she’s a really cool girl. Thanks Bethany!

uh?.. what else.. oh, I know, work. Let’s just talk about work for a little bit. I think it’s interesting to note that I work for a pretty large company: Starbucks Coffee. And man, the past couple days at work, have been pretty goofy. The people I’ve been working with have just been getting under my skin. I’m not even sure why?!! It’s probably the fact that my boss is about to move to North Carolina and everyone is all getting nuts on me! I don’t know.. weird. ahh.. work will never change.

School is going good though.. I’ve been doing my best to stay on top of my reading and such, and things have been going well for me. I love this school it’s really really amazing.. but, I think I’m going to go now. I really have to get some English Comp. done right now, and it’s getting late.. so you kids have a good evening/morning 😉

You know what’s funny? This photo says nothing about the mood I’m in. I’m in a great mood, but there is something about black and white that just gets me every time. A picture says a thousand words right. Well, this picture is saying all lies, cause seriously, I LOVE BEING ALIVE!!!! YEAH!!

Classes have been going great! I’m actually working like 3 weeks ahead on some of these books I have to read for my Youth Culture class. I love that class, it freakin’ rules. Seriously, it’s like all the cool Youth Ministry kids came to one class and are hanging out and talking about youth culture, I love it. My roommate and a bunch of my friends are taking it too, so that’s rockin’ and rollin’. uh?.. what else. I think about love a lot. I don’t know if it’s like love for a girl, or for God, or for my car, or something that’s material, but I think about it. I’m always thinking about things. Recently a friend pointed out that I always say stuff like “.. You know what’s weird.. ” and then I say something that I’ve been thinking about. It’s interesting, I do a lot of thinking. Which is a really good thing. I’m not just wasting my brain, I’m using it, and I’m thinking about things, even when they’re weird things, I’m still thinking. Think about it! 🙂

I don’t really know where that all came from, but I’m just typing. I’m listening to good music!! OH MAN! I almost forgot! So get this.. The other day at work I got a dollar bill that said “www.wheresgeorge.com… follow me across the USA!!..” and I was like, ok?.. So I went to www.wheresgeorge.com and it’s freakin’ great!! I typed in the serial number for my bill and stuff and I was the second person to do this certain dollar and the first person was some girl in Utah. Oh man, go there and check it out, it’s like my new favorite thing! I like it. ok, I’m done. bye.

I’m sitting here in US History class and I decided that I was going to go ahead and make an update on my site. I found this picture and that it was interesting to see a side of me that sometimes you might not see unless you are actually watching me when I’m on live.

We’re discussing the influences of labor unions in early American history. It’s not that interesting, but I can handle it. By the time I get out of this class I will have completed my history requirements for college entirely during my freshman year. haha.. sorry, I just got off track, this kid in class is trying to name all these presidents from like 1845 to 1896. It’s good stuff. I’ve never heard of half these guys. We just clapped for him, that was really good. He got them all! wow.. anyways..

uh?.. I walked in to class late for this the first time because some friends and me went to Starbucks and got some coffee. haha.. coffee at 12:45 in the afternoon, I love it. Only in college.. I think?. never mind. But I finished my Iced, Grande, 2-Pump White Mocha (which I used to get a lot, but haven’t gotten in a very long time) and now I’m just sitting here.

On Saturday I’m going to be in a wedding. I wrote a song for my friend Jamie and now I’m playing it in her wedding this weekend. I think it will be good. My friend Stephen is going to play piano for me and I’m going to play guitar and I think it’s going to be good. I hope she likes it! CONGRATS JAMIE and STEVEN!!! (they’re so cute! 🙂

Whelp, I’m back. Yep, I’m back in my dorm room and ready for second semester. My break was very interesting, but I must say it was a very good chance to take some time off and just relax. I did work a lot, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t have a good time. oh man, it’s good to be back though. Today we spent most of the day reorganizing all of our stuff in the apartment. It was good, we think that our kitchen is so much better. It’s a lot better for food preparation, in our opinion. uh?.. something weird is up with my eye. I have this thing on it. It sucks, I mean, it doesn’t really hurt, but it’s annoying. I don’t like it. It looks weird too. grr.. but what can I do?.. I took the next few days off work to attend “Truth and Life Conference” at school. It’s mandatory, but it’s really good. We had our first session this evening and we have two large sessions each day for the next 2 days. It’s going to be good. I already have started to enjoy the speakers. This picture is one of my favorites right now. It really has captured how I am feeling at the moment. Cause it’s interesting. I am feeling perfectly fine and actually just cleaned my desk and am in a good mood, but there’s still something missing. You know? I think this picture captures that. Maybe everyone just thinks it’s exactly like the last picture, but I think it’s different. And once again, it’s my site, my rules, my cam.

I think I miss home. I think I’m tired. I think I’m ready for my break. Did you ever think you would be where you would be today? I mean, really, think about it. I don’t even live with my parents anymore?.. what happened? I’m not even exactly sure how that worked out, or even why. Do you kids miss home? If you are home, do you ever miss your friends who aren’t home? just a thought.

Tonight at 6 I went to my boss’s house for a shift-lead dinner he threw for the managers at my store. It was very fun. I really enjoyed myself. He gave us all day-planners as a small gift, it’s pretty cool. And after dinner we all played Balderdash. That was hilarious, people were making up the funniest words and phrases and stuff. It was great.

You know what was weird. Tonight, after the dinner which ended at 10, I had to go to work out of dress-code and close the store. My boss couldn’t get any body to cover the closing shift because we were all at his house, so I had to go and close the place. It was weird because I was in sandals and shorts. I don’t know, whatever. Finals are coming next week and tomorrow is my last day of classes. So pray for me, that I will do well studying this weekend as I have some extra time off from work. You kids are awesome, hope your lives are going well. see yah..
