Ok, so this may seem a little early, but let me explain. The other day my roommate Skyler, Tristan and I went to seek out some furniture for our apartment. While we were out we were specifically seeking a small table for one of the corners of our room. Well, every college student knows that Target just freakin’ rules when it comes to “college-dorm-room” stuff… so.. we decided that since we are only going to be in the apartments until December 13th that we would like to do some decorating for the Christmas season. So.. WE BOUGHT A 6-foo Christmas TREE!! YAY!! It’s a fake one, but it’s nice. And man, we went all out on this stuff. We bought real GLASS ornaments (mind you) and some $1.62 lights (really nice). Man, it was great. We are the first room to have Christmas stuff, and man this tree is seriously high-class. No joke! You guys gotta come check itout.. and if you come, then look at the awesome pictures I have taken of it! They are great, it’s all great! so anyways..

I know everyone is getting ticked that I haven’t been updating, but if you could just hear my plea… The internet is a distraction, a BIG one. And for a full-time college student, and a part time shift-lead at Starbucks, distractions aren’t the best thing in the world. I’m not saying that my site is a distraction, just the internet. And since I’m quite the web-savvy guy, I spend much time chatting, surfing, chatting, video-chatting, and of course chatting. So, do you understand now?!! I need to manage my time better, and school is coming down to the wire here.. It’s crazy. But whatever.. I’ll try harder. I need to give the people what they want. oh.. and on more thing…

ps. side note! *I have this thing with the number “1”. It’s weird, and it’s kind of a recent thing. So today is significant for me. (11/11/02) Not to mention the fact that it’s Veteran’s Day and I want give it up to those guys who fought freakin’ hard to give me the liberties I have today! Thanks guys!

pss. This day in history: This was the day on November 11th, 1918 when they decided to stop the “physical” fighting in World War 1! I learned that in World History 2 today! ok bye for reals!

Ok, so I might have slacked off a little on the shaycam stuff. Well, I slacked off a lot. I guess that drama stuff just kind of threw off my enthusiasm for updating my journal on a regular basis. But, here’s my life:

uh?.. at the moment I am avoiding my homework at all costs. I should be working on this power point project for history, but I think I’m going to Knotts Scary Farm tonight with some friends from school, should be fun. I’ve been tired the past few days, I don’t know why, and on I think it was Wednesday night I went to bed at 7:30, weird?.. My normal bed time is between 12 and 2. College life, you gotta love it. I think I am going to go now, I am getting tired just writing that I have been tired, and as we speak my study habits are dwindling away.. haha.. I crack myself up. ok bye

I guess I feel it necessary for people to read the definition of the word “drama”. I don’t know about you kids, but if you have ever had any time in the educational system, you will find there is much “drama” that goes on. It all starts when Suzy takes Jane’s barbie on the playground. Later, Suzy starts to talk bad about Jane and she finds out and tells her friend to go tell Suzy that she is dumb. Suzy of course gets mad and “steals” Jane’s boyfriend, and that opens up a whole new aspect to what we like to call “drama.”

Here’s my definition: drama – pointless banter. stupid actions. basically what the definition of high school should be.
haha. I make myself laugh.

So, let’s just review. Once upon a time I made a website. I wrote cool crap in it and just happend to have a guestbook for people to come and say hi to me and just pretty much, well say hi and stuff. Then someone, who is un-named, who might even be a friend of mine, decides to “share” their thoughts. Which, honestly didn’t bother me at first. Then I thought and thought and thought about it, and I realized, “.. hey, this is my site, and my guestbook is not for this.. maybe if it was like a message board or something.. that would be cool, but man, I don’t want this stuff on my site..” So I decided to take some corrective action to fix the problem. That, which I didn’t know would happen, opened up a whooooooole lotta D R A M A ! I don’t like drama. So, people, lets just relax. haha.. Can you kids feel me on this one? I mean seriously, if you want to talk to me about something, then email me. I check it every day! I’ll write you back! But all this started as a simple little thing, and now, somehow, it’s this huge MOUNTAIN OF DRAMATIC ISSUES!!! I think it’s funny personally. But, hey, watch this… Email me your thoughts kids. Maybe we can turn this whole thing around!

Anyways, so apparently my guestbook is turning in to “.. hey this is where people go to read stuff so I’ll share my opinion on Shay’s site. I can’t say I’m the most happy person about that. In fact, if you want to deal with your problems, then go to the person and deal with it. Don’t sit around at your computers and continue to break fellowship with these people. But seriously guys, come on, my site isn’t about this. My site is for me to share my opinions and thoughts and whatever else I fee like writing. Yeah, go ahead, say hi to me in my guestbook, maybe share something that’s going on in your life, but don’t go over-board.

Sorry, I had to “VENT” a little bit on that one. That’s probably why I picked that picture that you see at your right. It’s just one of those pictures that you would see that would make you go, “what?.” But anyways.. I gotta say, something that I’m not looking forward to is my freakin’ 3 exams on Tuesday, and my other one on Wednesday. I’m seriously not excited about that crap, but I’ll figure something out. I’m working everyday this weekend. uh?.. that’s all. bye.

I’m thinking about going to breakfast tomorrow. I’m not sure. There is person here trying to convince me that I should eat something in the morning. He tells “it makes your day go better.” hhm.. I don’t know about that? So, I’m holding a tennis ball, it’s from New York. I got it in my mailbox the other day. It’s fun.

Well, schools good I guess. I studied for my history quiz this evening with a couple people from school. It was good. So things are good. I bought some new pants. Anyways, I drank about a Grande size coffee a little bit ago and now I’m wired and stuff. I’m feeling good. I gotta tell ya. hehe.. oh man, I love it. I really am all hyper and stuff, but I just can’t settle down. I love life. I really do. I gotta tell ya. I love it. It so much better to exist than not to exist. It’s great in fact. ok bye.

Ok, so I had a ton of homework and I couldn’t make it back on here? I mean, I fell asleep really early and didn’t wake up in time to turn on my computer?.. or.. ahh, it’s useless. I have no excuse for this amount of time passing without telling everyone about me and my life, and everything makes up a Shay.

I don’t really know what to say. I mean, it’s been a pretty long time and I’ve forgotten so much. But I will try to fill you on things. First, my classes are going swell. I was having some problems with one of my classes and I started praying about it and this last Thursday was the best time I’ve ever had in that class. It was really a blessing. Uh?.. for those of you who don’t know I’m taking 13 units at The Master’s College here in Santa Clarita. I live off-campus in dorms/apartments. I am taking Christian Theology 1, New Testament Survey 1, World History 1, and World History 2. Let’s just say that I have a ton of reading and leave it at that. But it’s going really well.. things are looking up!

I think right now I just want to take some time to share something with you guys. For those of you that are Christians, I just want to challenge you to take a deep look at your life for a second. Make sure you are on the right track. If you don’t have a daily quiet time, get one! If you aren’t praying like you should be, THEN PRAY! Is it really that hard? haha.. I laugh because, yes, it is that hard. I mean, it really isn’t, but just a few weeks ago I thought it was impossible to get back on track in my daily devotions. But I am now, that is, I’m back on track. And I have really seen God working on some sin on my heart. I would hope that you Christians are really living it. Let’s do this thing, there’s only just a little time left. For those of you who don’t know the Lord, well, let me know. I will talk with you, I will pray for you. It’s been about a week now, and things have been crazy here. My life has gone up and down and all around and pretty much has had me so confused I really didn’t know what to do. The only that I knew (and I must admit that it was hard for me to see this at first) was that God was in control. But I’m down at college, and things are going good.

I’ve been showing everyone here the cam and letting them get their pics on it and stuff, so that’s pretty cool. I will post those as soon as I get a chance. Everyone has been awesome here and a ton of fun. Last night a bunch of people came to our place and they cooked food in our kitchen, and then we played “Battle of the Sexes” and “Cranium” in the living room, it was a good time. My team lost horribly, but it’s ok I guess, who’s keeping score anyway? 🙂

uh?.. Last night, after everyone left I hung out with some cool, rockin’, awesome guys that live next door to me. We just played guitar and sang, and I really enjoyed myself. I was supposed to be at work at 4:30 this morning, but my alarm didn’t go off and I was late by like a half an hour. It really stunk to say the least. But my boss is awesome, and I have a good track-record (cause I’ve never been late). uh?.. so, here I am. so I am going go.. bye.

I know it’s been a few days since I last wrote you kids. But it really hasn’t been my fault. I really don’t even know when I am going to be able to upload this to the internet yet, so bear with me while I wait for my new school to get their wireless internet cards installed in our computers.

So, I moved this weekend. I moved down to my college. Can you believe it? It’s crazy! I wish you guys could come check out my new place, it’s so stinkin’ rad!!! I can’t wait to get some more photos of my place on here! The move itself was kind of sad, my parents cried a little bit, I cried a little bit, and it was just kind of sad. But it’s ok, it will work out somehow.

But getting back, this dorm is SWWEEEET. It’s called Oak Manor, and Master’s (my college) bought an older apartment complex and completely remodeled them! THEY ARE BRAND SPANKIN’ NEW!!! It’s so cool, they are full equipped with heating and air-conditioning and a new gear including: stoves, dishwashers, sinks, bathrooms, kitchens!!l, carpet, walls, paint, and anything else you could think of. These aren’t even dorms for crying out loud, they’re bizzzad!! haha.. But anyways, I really like the new pad, let me tell ya.

I am really tired right now, I haven’t had much time to take a nap or anything, it’s been kind of hectic around here. They have us running around doing stuff, and taking tests and having fun, and eating food, sort of like camp! (minus the two tests I took 🙁 ) But this is it. I’m here.

I had to call my work today and tell them my new schedule, I felt kind of bad because my boss has to really work around my new availability, and he didn’t really sound to happy about it on the phone. But he’s a really cool guy, so it’ll be ok I’m sure. Oh, and another thing, I really really really really really like this school. I know I’m going to love it here. I’ve already started hanging out with the guys from my dorm and they are really cool. They all love God and desire his will for their lives, it’s really amazing! But that’s life right now, so I am going to find something to do. I don’t have to do anything until 4:45 today, so I need to find something to occupy my time. Maybe I’ll take a nap!?!? hhm.. whatever, bye.

Well, I’m back. I am currently sitting here at my work on my 30 minute break. I work at Starbucks as most of you know, and I just recently transferred to a store near my college.. my college of which I will be moving to on Saturday. Can you believe it? Oh!! I almost forgot, the reason I am sitting here in work is because I am using my brand spankin’ new Dell Laptop!!! Oh man, I love it, I really really love it. The best part is I am take shaycam anywhere I want now. As soon as I get it set up I am going to have “Shaycam: The College Years” or something like that. Hopefully it will work out. I’m sure it will..

It’s tough to understand how things work these days. As I sit here only 45 minutes from my house, I think about the kids that will be at college and be thousands of miles from their families. That could be lonely if you are really attached to your parents, you know what I’m saying?

You know, I’ve always wanted to do this. I’ve always wanted to sit in a Starbucks and just type away at my very own laptop. It just seems like something out of a movie. Just seems like the classy thing to do. I like classy things. Speaking of that, the other night a few of my friends and me (a total of 4) got all dressed up like prom-style and went to City-Walk in Universal City. It was awesome. No joke, we were stylin’. But anyways, we had lots of fun.

Right now my timer says 7:37 and counting down. So that means I only have 7 mins and 37 seconds to chat away to you people. Some lady just ordered a “Venti Coconut Crème Frappuccino” with 2 add shots of Espresso. I just thought I’d tell you that in case you were looking for a fun drink to share with your friends. Ok, I’m not saying that I’ve tried that drink, but.. ahh nevermind. I’m outta here. Peace out kids..

I’m a busy idiot, what can I say? It’s not my fault I have to drive like 45 minutes to get to work now, not to mention the fact that I had to wake up at 3:30AM on Saturday to get to work. Oh man, it’s been nuts! But it’s going ok.

If you are just tuning in (or maybe I haven’t said anything about it) I transferred from my Starbucks here in town, to a store near my college. But since I haven’t moved to college yet, I have to commute to work. It’s fun and weird at the same time. The first day we opened was so freakin’ sucky. No joke, I couldn’t believe it. Everything that could go wrong went wrong. I mean, our bar broke, our grinders broke. So pretty much if you wanted any drink with espresso in it, it wasn’t going to happen. So that’s that. I’m currently in the process of doing “shift-lead” training and trying to get a promotion. It’s kind of cool, I’ve been with the company for about a month and I’m already starting this. I guess it’s good, more money is good.

You know, I’m drinking a cup of coffee right now. Coffee is good. Of course this is a cup of Starbucks coffee. I get to bring home lots of coffee. I guess that’s what happens when you work at a coffee house.. I realized the other day that I don’t like to write my journals with a lot of thought going in to them. I just type. Seriously, and whatever makes it on the screen is what goes. I type about 60-65 WPM so, it’s easy for me to type what I want in a timely manner. Do you have any questions about me? I was thinking maybe everyone doesn’t know me anymore? AND ARE YOU SPREADING THE RUMORS ABOUT SHAYCAM.COM?!?!?! TELL PEOPLE ABOUT ME!! I think I’m famous?.. haha.. ok, maybe not.

11 days until I am supposed to move to college. We’ll see what happens.. *oh, the mystery. See yah!
