It’s been about a week now, and things have been crazy here. My life has gone up and down and all around and pretty much has had me so confused I really didn’t know what to do. The only that I knew (and I must admit that it was hard for me to see this at first) was that God was in control. But I’m down at college, and things are going good.

I’ve been showing everyone here the cam and letting them get their pics on it and stuff, so that’s pretty cool. I will post those as soon as I get a chance. Everyone has been awesome here and a ton of fun. Last night a bunch of people came to our place and they cooked food in our kitchen, and then we played “Battle of the Sexes” and “Cranium” in the living room, it was a good time. My team lost horribly, but it’s ok I guess, who’s keeping score anyway? 🙂

uh?.. Last night, after everyone left I hung out with some cool, rockin’, awesome guys that live next door to me. We just played guitar and sang, and I really enjoyed myself. I was supposed to be at work at 4:30 this morning, but my alarm didn’t go off and I was late by like a half an hour. It really stunk to say the least. But my boss is awesome, and I have a good track-record (cause I’ve never been late). uh?.. so, here I am. so I am going go.. bye.

I know it’s been a few days since I last wrote you kids. But it really hasn’t been my fault. I really don’t even know when I am going to be able to upload this to the internet yet, so bear with me while I wait for my new school to get their wireless internet cards installed in our computers.

So, I moved this weekend. I moved down to my college. Can you believe it? It’s crazy! I wish you guys could come check out my new place, it’s so stinkin’ rad!!! I can’t wait to get some more photos of my place on here! The move itself was kind of sad, my parents cried a little bit, I cried a little bit, and it was just kind of sad. But it’s ok, it will work out somehow.

But getting back, this dorm is SWWEEEET. It’s called Oak Manor, and Master’s (my college) bought an older apartment complex and completely remodeled them! THEY ARE BRAND SPANKIN’ NEW!!! It’s so cool, they are full equipped with heating and air-conditioning and a new gear including: stoves, dishwashers, sinks, bathrooms, kitchens!!l, carpet, walls, paint, and anything else you could think of. These aren’t even dorms for crying out loud, they’re bizzzad!! haha.. But anyways, I really like the new pad, let me tell ya.

I am really tired right now, I haven’t had much time to take a nap or anything, it’s been kind of hectic around here. They have us running around doing stuff, and taking tests and having fun, and eating food, sort of like camp! (minus the two tests I took 🙁 ) But this is it. I’m here.

I had to call my work today and tell them my new schedule, I felt kind of bad because my boss has to really work around my new availability, and he didn’t really sound to happy about it on the phone. But he’s a really cool guy, so it’ll be ok I’m sure. Oh, and another thing, I really really really really really like this school. I know I’m going to love it here. I’ve already started hanging out with the guys from my dorm and they are really cool. They all love God and desire his will for their lives, it’s really amazing! But that’s life right now, so I am going to find something to do. I don’t have to do anything until 4:45 today, so I need to find something to occupy my time. Maybe I’ll take a nap!?!? hhm.. whatever, bye.

Well, I’m back. I am currently sitting here at my work on my 30 minute break. I work at Starbucks as most of you know, and I just recently transferred to a store near my college.. my college of which I will be moving to on Saturday. Can you believe it? Oh!! I almost forgot, the reason I am sitting here in work is because I am using my brand spankin’ new Dell Laptop!!! Oh man, I love it, I really really love it. The best part is I am take shaycam anywhere I want now. As soon as I get it set up I am going to have “Shaycam: The College Years” or something like that. Hopefully it will work out. I’m sure it will..

It’s tough to understand how things work these days. As I sit here only 45 minutes from my house, I think about the kids that will be at college and be thousands of miles from their families. That could be lonely if you are really attached to your parents, you know what I’m saying?

You know, I’ve always wanted to do this. I’ve always wanted to sit in a Starbucks and just type away at my very own laptop. It just seems like something out of a movie. Just seems like the classy thing to do. I like classy things. Speaking of that, the other night a few of my friends and me (a total of 4) got all dressed up like prom-style and went to City-Walk in Universal City. It was awesome. No joke, we were stylin’. But anyways, we had lots of fun.

Right now my timer says 7:37 and counting down. So that means I only have 7 mins and 37 seconds to chat away to you people. Some lady just ordered a “Venti Coconut Crème Frappuccino” with 2 add shots of Espresso. I just thought I’d tell you that in case you were looking for a fun drink to share with your friends. Ok, I’m not saying that I’ve tried that drink, but.. ahh nevermind. I’m outta here. Peace out kids..

I’m a busy idiot, what can I say? It’s not my fault I have to drive like 45 minutes to get to work now, not to mention the fact that I had to wake up at 3:30AM on Saturday to get to work. Oh man, it’s been nuts! But it’s going ok.

If you are just tuning in (or maybe I haven’t said anything about it) I transferred from my Starbucks here in town, to a store near my college. But since I haven’t moved to college yet, I have to commute to work. It’s fun and weird at the same time. The first day we opened was so freakin’ sucky. No joke, I couldn’t believe it. Everything that could go wrong went wrong. I mean, our bar broke, our grinders broke. So pretty much if you wanted any drink with espresso in it, it wasn’t going to happen. So that’s that. I’m currently in the process of doing “shift-lead” training and trying to get a promotion. It’s kind of cool, I’ve been with the company for about a month and I’m already starting this. I guess it’s good, more money is good.

You know, I’m drinking a cup of coffee right now. Coffee is good. Of course this is a cup of Starbucks coffee. I get to bring home lots of coffee. I guess that’s what happens when you work at a coffee house.. I realized the other day that I don’t like to write my journals with a lot of thought going in to them. I just type. Seriously, and whatever makes it on the screen is what goes. I type about 60-65 WPM so, it’s easy for me to type what I want in a timely manner. Do you have any questions about me? I was thinking maybe everyone doesn’t know me anymore? AND ARE YOU SPREADING THE RUMORS ABOUT SHAYCAM.COM?!?!?! TELL PEOPLE ABOUT ME!! I think I’m famous?.. haha.. ok, maybe not.

11 days until I am supposed to move to college. We’ll see what happens.. *oh, the mystery. See yah!

Ok, so that’s fun. I mean come on, it’ s not every day I think of something new to do with my camera. haha.. I’m all sidways and stuff and you guys are all confused about it. oh don’t even start that!.. I know confused you are. You love it. You can’t get enough of it. You come to shaycam all the time now don’t you.. oh don’t lie!!! You LIAR!! You are here every day reading the journal for the second or third time and then you read the guestbook to see what girls are hitting on me. Oh man I love it! I can talk about anything I want.. INCLUDING your obsession with my site!! ok, enough of that.

I’m in a good mood to say the least. I just went and saw “Mr. Deed’s” for the second time. It’s a great movie. Seriously, I like it. School is coming soon. I’m opening up a new Starbucks in Castaic next week, so that should be fun. I’m doing some “lead” training right now and we’ll have to see how that goes. I apologize for the amount of time it is taking me to get these journals uploaded. I’ve been working like a mad man! Oh but guess what?.. I got my Dizmas CD yesterday!! The real deal, with artwork and all that! Oh man it’s hot!! You should buy a copy, I’m not sure how, but just find out how… maybe go to one of their shows. My best friend is the lead singer, they rule! ok, I’m outta here, this enough for one day… ok, ready.. bye.

“.. Dear Shay,
The sky is blue today with just a few small clouds and very little wind, but hot, so I am staying indoors…” – grandma Thomason.

I received a letter in the mail today from my grandma on my dad’s side. I have only ever gotten two letters from her in my entire life (18 years) and they have both come in the last two months. The first one was for graduation, and now this one. What I wrote above was how she started out the letter. It’s so funny, and really, I guess cute at the same time. I do not know why she has decided to write me, but I love it. She says in her letter that there were two people that were upset that they didn’t receive thank you cards from me for graduation. I really don’t know who she is talking about? But it’s ok, she’s cool. When I opened the envelope the back of the paper read this “My hand got tired!” and it made me laugh.

There is so much simplicity in a grandma. Yet, they are so complicated at the same time. It’s weird that we get to grow up to meet our parents’ parents. You know? I never really got to know mine very well and I regret that. But I guess it really didn’t have much to do with me, considering it’s pretty much up to your parents whether or not you get to see your grandparents or not. But it’s ok, I guess. I’ll get over it.

Today has been an interesting day. I have been awake for just about 18 hours now. I had to wake up really early to be to work by 4AM. So, needless to say it’s been a long day. I’m in a calm mood, and I really don’t think that anything right now could happen that would really disturb me; I’ve been awake too long.

I guess my mind is starting to ponder things. Like why God lets things happen, or why we are tempted, or even why he would give us a way out our temptation. That’s the coolest thing ever. There is always a way out of any temptation, and God gives it to us. Don’t you think that is cool? Thanks for getting inside my head for 5 minutes, I don’t know if I’m worth that kind of time, but apparently if you got this far I am. See ya..

I was thinking a little bit today. You have lots of time to think when you go to a museum. Well, let’s talk about that first..

My friend took me to see the Andy Warhol exhibit today!! Oh man, seriously it was rockin’.. that guy was the coolest. No joke. You should find some of his art and check it out. But anyways.. We went down there for what we were calling the “best-shay-day-ever”. Tons of fun, no joke.

But anyways.. I was thinking about my journals and stuff and how like when I write I really don’t care about what people are thinking about my writing. The reason I was thinking this is because Andy has some photo’s and different things that he did work on that were pretty disturbing. But he really didn’t care. He also did work for huge companies like Campbell’s and Coca-Cola. So I don’t know. I really don’t know how you tie those two things together or whatever.. but ok. Anyways. I really appreciate all the emails and stuff you kids send. I read everything.. including my guestbook!

So, I guess this site is getting pretty dull then. I really don’t have much to talk about and I don’t know why. I’m doing lots of cool stuff these days. I even bought a new watch (featured at our right! 🙂 ) But, I don’t know.. things are looking up.. except for the fact that I work at 4AM tomorrow. Oh, and I’m moving soon.. to college that is. I wonder how that’s going to be…?

I know I haven’t written in a while, but I guess I just wanted to build up the suspense of what today is.

HAPPY 1 YEAR BIRTHDAY FOR SHAYCAM!!!!!!

Yeah, so, isn’t that the coolest? I thought it was cool. So we should all throw a birthday party for me or something. Ah, maybe not. hhm.. maybe someone will throw me a surprise party?.. ok, that’s wishful thinking. But I just wanted to let you kids know that you are what makes shaycam possible. haha.. it’s great. You kids are awesome! Thanks for being faithful to find time to read my journals and take a peak in to my room at what I am doing. Soon I will be moving to a new location, so that should be kind of fun. College should be a blast! I really can’t wait, oh man. I’m going to be getting a new laptop and I’ll have this computer and stuff so we should be all set. Maybe I’ll buy another camera?.. hhm.. never know. I’ve always got some tricks up my sleeves. But that’s that.

I’ve really been doing good the last few days. Things are going well. I got paid today!! YEAH!! Getting paid is the coolest. It means I can buy stuff. Like right when I got my check I went over to the mall and bought Super Mario World 2 Advance!!! Oh man, you know the game. You probably remember it from Super Nintendo. It’s the one with Yoshi. Oh heck yeah. I like it a lot!! So I guess that’s my birthday present to myself. I think I should be getting my camera a birthday present. I have no clue how the heck that would work, but oh well. He still likes his little spot on top of my screen, and sometimes on my shelf. So that’s that. I’ve got some plans tonight so, I think I am going to go get started on those. haha.. I’m not sure what that means, but ok. You kids have a good July 19th! And yes, I know you will all be celebrating, so on behalf of everyone here at shaycam.com … Drink responsibly. haha.. (I don’t drink.. just to let you kids know that.. haha..) ok bye..

Here I am, back to the drawing board. Another day that has slipped away from me because I was too lazy to get in to the shower. Wow, 4:00 in the afternoon and I just took a shower, shaved, and the only thing I can say that I have accomplished for today is that I have washed every piece of clothing I owned, and took my sister to have her car windows tinted. Other than those two things I’ve done absolutely nothing today. I mean, I did put all my clothes that I washed away, which includes: putting the shirts and pants on hangers, folding the shorts and putting those away, folding my socks and underwear and throwing them in my dresser. Oh, and if you were wondering, the reason you don’t see my dresser in the shaycam pics is because it’s in the closet :).

Yesterday I had some serious conversations. They were really good conversations, that needed to happen, but they were still serious. Sometimes you need a good serious conversation. It keeps you and your friends in check. You know something else, change is scary sometimes. Especially right now, I mean, everyone is moving away and it’s all nuts. No one wants to spend the little time they have left doing something they would regret. Everyone wants to spend enough time with everyone else before they leave for college and stuff. It’s not the same as it used to be when we were all in school. Back then (or a month ago) we could see everyone, every day. No hassles. Now, oh man, working around everyone’s schedules, and trying to make sure I see everyone and stuff, that can be stinkin’ hard. I guess my only advice to myself and to others is for us to realize that the only person we can control is us. So spend your time wisely. I don’t know if everyone will understand this, but I am just babbling like I always do.

uh.. on a different note, I need a haircut. And the other day I got this “Mach 3 Turbo” razor in the mail from Gillette, so I used that to shave today. Not bad. ok bye..

Things are ok. I work a lot. But I really enjoy it. I find that you just get in this “work mode” and you become callus to the sleep you are missing, or the time you could have just hanging out with friends or at your house. The last couple of days have been pretty rockin’. I got to watch the sunset from the top of a mountain with kira, you know, the one of kiracam. It was rad! There was a lake there, and we were just chilling on this tiny park bench. Way cool..

This evening, I spent my time at my Bible teacher’s house. We had a “praise and worship night” at his house and I was leading and playing guitar and stuff. It’s always a blessing.

Well, I’m tired. I’ve been for the past few days. I only work a couple of hours tomorrow, and I have the weekend off. So that should be pretty nice. I want to write a longer journal entry, but I really need to get to bed now. I have to get up in 5 hours. So, I’ll talk to you kids later. Thanks for coming. See yah..
